Terms & Conditions

1. Services

Hair By Amy provides hair styling services including (but not limited to) haircuts, colouring, treatments, and special event styling. Services are provided by appointment only.

 

2. Bookings

• Bookings can be made online, by phone, or in person.

• A deposit may be required to secure your appointment.

• All prices are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST unless stated otherwise.

• Prices may vary depending on hair length, thickness, or additional treatments required. You will be advised before your service begins if an additional charge applies.

 

3. Cancellations & No-Shows

• We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or changes to your booking.

• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the booked service.

• No-shows may be charged the full service amount and may be required to pre-pay for future appointments.

 

4. Late Arrivals

If you arrive late, we will do our best to provide your full service, but we may need to shorten your appointment to avoid delays for other clients. Full charges will still apply.

 

5. Payment

• Payment is due at the time of your appointment.

• We accept cash, EFTPOS, major credit cards, and other payment methods as advised in the salon.

• Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and are non-refundable.

 

6. Health & Safety

• Please inform us of any allergies, scalp conditions, or sensitivities before your appointment.

• We follow all relevant New Zealand health and safety regulations and hygiene practices.

• Children are welcome in the salon only if supervised at all times.

 

7. Satisfaction & Aftercare

• If you are not satisfied with your service, please contact us within 48 hours so we can discuss a solution.

• We do not offer refunds for completed services, but we will work with you to address concerns.

 

8. Personal Belongings

While all reasonable care is taken, Hair By Amy is not responsible for the loss or damage of your personal items while on the premises.

 

9. Website Use

• The content on this website is for general information only and may change without notice.

• All text, images, and branding are the property of Hair By Amy and may not be used without permission.

 

10. Privacy

We collect and store personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. Your information will only be used for booking, providing services, and communicating with you. For more details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

 

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be published on our website.

 

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
