Refund Policy

At Hair By Amy, we take pride in providing high-quality hair styling services.
Because hair services are a personal and customised experience, refunds are not automatically provided and are granted solely at the discretion of the hair stylist.

1. Services

  • If you are not satisfied with your service, please contact us within 48 hours of your appointment.

  • We do not offer refunds for completed services, but we may, at our discretion, offer:

    • A complimentary adjustment or correction service

    • A partial or full refund

    • A credit for future services

 

2. Products

  • We do not offer refunds for hair care products unless they are faulty or damaged in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

  • For hygiene reasons, opened products cannot be returned unless required by law.

 

3. Appointment Deposits

  • Deposits are generally non-refundable.

  • If you cancel with more than 24 hours’ notice, your deposit may be transferred to a future booking, at our discretion.

  • Late cancellations and no-shows may result in forfeiting the deposit.

 

4. Discretionary Decisions

All decisions regarding refunds, credits, or adjustments are made solely by the hair stylist based on the individual circumstances.

 

5. Your Rights Under New Zealand Law

Nothing in this policy affects your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
